DONALD TRUMP warned KATY PERRY she made 'big mistake' after marrying RUSSELL BRAND

Saturday, November 7, 2026 - Donald Trump's decade-old warning to pop superstar Katy Perry about her marriage to comedian Russell Brand has resurfaced following Brand's conviction on rape and sexual assault charges in the UK. In a 2011 social media post, Trump openly questioned Perry's decision to marry the British comedian, writing that she had made a "big mistake".

At the time, the comments attracted attention because the couple had married just a year earlier. Now, following the latest court developments, Trump's prediction has become a major talking point across social media and entertainment news.

Trump's criticism did not stop there. In October 2014, he launched another public attack on Brand, questioning Perry's decision to marry him and describing the comedian as a loser and a waste. Brand responded by mocking Trump's social media behaviour, turning their disagreement into a public exchange that attracted widespread attention.

Perry and Brand married in India in October 2010, but their relationship ended in December 2011, with their divorce finalised in 2012. Perry previously revealed that Brand informed her he wanted a divorce through a text message on New Year's Eve.

The renewed attention comes after a jury at London's Southwark Crown Court found Brand guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault following a four-week trial. He was acquitted of two other rape charges and one charge of attempted indecent assault.

Brand denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty. He has been remanded in custody ahead of sentencing scheduled for November 9, 2026. Perry was not part of the prosecution case and was not asked to provide a witness statement.

As Trump's old remarks circulate again, the story has reopened conversations about Perry's brief marriage and the serious criminal proceedings now facing her former husband.
